Cambodia is getting smarter about plastic!
We’re creating powerful videos to inspire real change in how factories, vendors, and communities reduce plastic waste. Join us in building a cleaner, greener Cambodia.
The PlasticSmart Cambodia project, funded by the European Commission (SWITCH-Asia Programme), is implemented by CARE Österreich, CARE Cambodia, Youth Council of Cambodia (YCC), and IDEA. The project aims to reduce plastic pollution and greenhouse gas emissions in Cambodia by promoting sustainable consumption and waste management practices.
As part of the project, YCC is looking to produce two short educational videos (3–5 minutes) to raise awareness and encourage behavior change in reducing plastic use and improving waste management. The videos will target factory workers, shopkeepers, street vendors, informal waste collectors, and local communities in Kandal, Kampong Chhnang, and Kampong Cham provinces, specifically around four garment factories.
These videos will be shared through social media and community meetings and will be accessible with subtitles and disability-friendly features. YCC seeks an experienced media firm or consultant to manage the production from scriptwriting to final delivery.
The deadline for applications is 12 June 2025. Proposals should be sent to info@ycc.org.kh, with inquiries directed to Rufa Fernando (rufa.fernando@ycc.org.kh).
