HISTORY OF YOUTH COUNCIL OF CAMBODIA

  • YCC is a registered non-governmental organization established on October 14, 2002, to advocate for peaceful democratic reform and empower youth through education and training to become active economic, social, and political citizens. YCC is an officially re-registered non-governmental organization with the Ministry of Interior (MOI) on December 13, 2016.
  • Using funding from various international organizations such as International Republican Institute (IRI), East- West Management Institute (EWMI), FHI360, Action Aid Cambodia, Care International, and Bread for World), YCC adheres to the vision and mission with desire to see youth contribute to the development of Cambodia. Additionally, YCC has been implementing a series of programs aimed at addressing the issue of socio-economic right, democracy and governance reform, natural resource management, quality of education, entrepreneurship and business development, leadership and policy development, and international peaceful relationship and cooperation which benefited for Cambodia youth.

  • Neutral: YCC has never, and will never, be affiliated with one particular political party nor be influenced to stray from its mission, vision, objectives and goals.
  • Responsibility: YCC is responsible for using all donated money appropriately and in accordance with the wishes of the donor. YCC has a duty of care for the vulnerable youth whilst they are participating in our programs as outlined in our child protection policy
